According to Hope Supply Co. volunteer Darlene Sabawa,
When I retired I wanted to volunteer at an organization where my efforts would truly make a difference. I read many wonderful mission statements and here are the inspirational words that drew me to Hope Supply.
“During the early 1990’s, mothers with babies and children became the fastest growing segment of the homeless population.”
This thought broke my heart. Not being able to have diapers, formula, clothing, etc. to raise your children was not acceptable to me. When I raised my daughter I never worried about having diapers and other daily needs. I took it for granted. Children and their mothers need a chance and Hope Supply is providing this chance.
The staff and volunteers at Hope Supply are passionate about what they do and who they serve. They made me understand that there is a real need out there. On the days when I volunteer I leave the building with the biggest smile on my face because I am helping them provide this critical need for these beautiful babies and families.
