Everything seems to be rising. Temperatures, COVID-19 cases, prices, pounds! Thank heaven, one thing is staying right in place. It’s the price of a Partners Card. The Family Place’s annual shopping fundraiser is keeping the price of the 2020 card at $75.
2020 Partners Card Co-Chairs Lexie Aderhold, Tully Phillips and Sally Pretorius Hodges have revealed the 28th annual shopathon will take place from Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 8, with 100% of card purchases benefiting The Family Place programs and services for victims of family violence.
Serving as this year’s honorary chair will be lifestyle/fashion/travel blogger Tanya Foster.
According to The Family Place CEO Paige Flink, “This year has been challenging for many nonprofits. However, there’s no doubt that with this group leading the charge and championing the incredible work done at The Family Place, this year’s fundraiser will be the most successful yet despite COVID-19!”
If you’ve just moved to North Texas, you’ll be astounded at this multi-day event. Thanks to more than 750 locations, North Texans are known to save up all year just to let loose during this ten-day period. After all, the darling little card provides a 20% discount at area retailers and services plus 20% at restaurants. You’d be amazed at the number of Christmas gifts that are purchased thanks to Partners Card.
And since online shopping has only grown in popularity, the retailers are making it easier for you to keyboard shop.
According to The Family Place Development Manager Grace Dewar, “We are hoping to bring on even more e-commerce participants this year. As more people lean into shopping online during this time, we want to have a wide-range of retailers available online for people to still get their Partners Card deals without having to shop in-store.”
Presented once again by Bank of Texas, the event will have other sponsors including Audi Dallas, NorthPark Center, Becky Frey Real Estate and Highland Park Village.
Factoid: One $75 Partners Card provides one night of safety for a victim of family violence at The Family Place.
So start saving up your spare change to purchase the 2020 Partners Card when it goes on sale in September.
