Despite their smiles, 2019 Callier Cares Luncheon Chair Beth Layton and her sidekick Underwriting Chair Nancy Carter along with Callier Center Foundation Board Chair Tricia George are starting to worry about UT at Dallas’ Callier Center for Communication Disorders fundraiser. With the luncheon at the Dallas Country Club a month away, there are only two tables left for guests to purchase.
Beth and Nancy have been trying to add more tables, but there are limits, don’t you know!
The fast-moving sale of tickets is due to a lot of reasons. First of all, Sharon and Mike McCullough are the honorary co-chairs. Second, Brent “Mr. Bowtie” Christopher will be presented the Ruth and Ken Altshuler Callier Care Award. Third, Dr. Steven M. Barlow will receive the 2019 Callier Prize which is “a biennial award that recognizes individuals whose leadership and research contributions have promoted scientific advances and significant developments in the diagnosis and treatment of communication disorders.”
And finally, proceeds from the event on Monday, April 15, go to the Callier Care Fund that was established by Ruth and Ken Altshuler “to provide care to children and adults regardless of their income level, insurance coverage or socioeconomic background.”
So, stop your spring hiatus and get one of those few tickets left now.
