Isabella has a tenacious form of neuroblastoma that has resisted all treatment. It’s unclear what the future holds for Isabella, but the first grader continues to do the things she loves – playing with her sisters, friends at church and Barbie dolls. She wants to learn how to play the drums, guitar and piano, and become a veterinarian one day.
Because of Isabella and thousands of other kids treated at Children’s Health, the Children’s Medical Center Foundation is working hard to secure multiple matching gift opportunities that can be offered throughout the largest day of giving in North Texas. Children’s Medical Center Foundation is extremely excited to participate in North Texas Giving Day again this year where hundreds of nonprofits and thousands of community members join in celebration of local philanthropy.
On North Texas Giving Day, there is an opportunity for people to match the donations received. Last year, a donor family approached us about matching donations, dollar for dollar, during the 18-hour giving event. This generous family was a champion for both North Texas Giving Day and Children’s Health. This year, we hope to secure more matching gift opportunities.
Increasing the impact of dollars given through matching gifts on North Texas Giving Day motivates the Children’s Medical Center Foundation to work even harder to spread the word about our patients, just like Isabella. Thank you for helping us make life better for children!
