Since the beginning of the year, New Friends New Life has seen some changes in its leadership. Kim Robinson came on board as CEO in March. Then Jessica Brazeal was “recently promoted to chief programs officer.” Now word comes that Bianca Jackson has moved her email address from Genesis Women’s Shelter, where she was senior director of fund and community development for seven years, to NFNL.
In her new role, she will be “chief development officer, responsible for overseeing donor cultivation, budget growth and strategic communication plans.”
With a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Temple University and a master’s degree from Dallas Baptist University, Bianca was strategic communications manager for Medical City Dallas Hospital for nine years before joining Genesis.
According to Kim, “We are delighted to have Bianca on board just in time to focus on our milestone fundraising luncheon in November. A proven leader with a big heart and a strong work ethic, Bianca is the perfect match for our mission to restore and empower women and children, who have been victimized and exploited by this form of modern slavery. We are proud of the lives we’ve changed over the past 20 years, and we are excited about the road we are paving for New Friends New Life in the months and years to come.”
As for Bianca, the new chief development officer added, “I am excited to join the passionate team at New Friends New Life in sounding the alarm about sex trafficking — an evil, multi-billion dollar industry that is festering right here in our own backyard. The Dallas community is paying special attention to the sobering fact that 400 girls are being sold on our streets every single night. I look forward to educating and inspiring individuals, organizations and companies to stand on behalf of our girls, our women and their children by supporting New Friends New Life’s mission.”
