The Elisa Project has just added three folks to their board of directors. Organization Executive Director Kim Martinez sends word that Kim Bannister, Kevin Brands and Whitney Roberts have been tapped to join the current 13 members of the board.
According to Board President Alvin Wade, “Kim, Kevin and Whitney bring to The Elisa Project their passionate leadership to help families and their loved ones who are suffering with disordered eating.
“As experienced business professionals Kim, Kevin and Whitney, can assist us in developing broader options for families, an increased breadth of programming and help us make decisions at a critical time in our agency’s development. We are confident that their distinguished record as community and business leaders will help to guide our organization to make real differences.”
Founded in 1999 by Leslie and Rick McCall, The Elisa Project was created following the death of the McCalls’ 20-year-old daughter Elisa, who took her own life after years of battling bulimia, depression and negative body image. Their hope was “to provide individuals and their loved ones with education and support.”
