While March 19th kick-off festivities were taking place at Tootsies for the Wilkinson Center’s Can Do! Luncheon and at Stanley Korshak’s Shak for the Appetite for Advocacy Luncheon, downtown Dallas was buzzing, too. Over at 901 Main Street at Bank of America Plaza, hundreds of people zipped up to the 71st floor for an open house and reception hosted by Downtown Dallas Inc. The nonprofit group, which promotes economic development in Dallas’ center city, was celebrating its move from Chase Tower on Ross Avenue into about 12,000 square feet in the Main Street skyscraper.
During brief remarks in the City Club on the building’s 69th floor, Downtown Dallas CEO John Crawford welcomed guests including developer Jack Matthews, the AT&T Performing Arts Center’s Chris Heinbaugh, and Robert Wilonsky from the Dallas Morning News. Then Crawford encouraged everyone in the crowd to tour his group’s new space, which boasts spectacular views of the region and stunningly beautiful, oversized photographs of the area by photographer Justin Terveen.
