According to Ronald McDonald House of Dallas’s CEO Jill Cumnock,
“Hear ye, hear ye, Ronald McDonald House of Dallas has declared 2014 ‘The Year of Whimsy.’ Beginning in January, we will unveil an amazingly delightful mosaic designed by local artist Connie Chantilis. The mosaic will be dedicated to a very important woman in the life of the House that Love Built. Who could that be? Stay tuned!
“April showers, May flowers and flights of fancy will see the opening of our Butterfly Garden. Whose children are behind this wonderful new addition? Again, you’ll have to stay tuned.
“Last but not least, we are adding a new summer camp to our summertime plans (aptly named Camp Minihaha by Chief of Whimsy, Amy Hatfield) for all of our adorable guest children to enjoy. Ronald McDonald House of Dallas is already a place to have fun and be distracted from painful pokes and prods; but it is my hope that these exciting goals will bring added happiness and moments of joy to some sweet families who really need it. And, since we rarely know when to stop, I’m sure there will be even more whimsy to come during 2014. Like I said, stay tuned!”
