New Friends New Life Executive Director Katie Pedigo’s timing was rather perfect when she asked Tanya Wiggains to chair the NFNL Holiday Home Tour. “I asked her the day before she became pregnant with her third child.”
That was eight months and 22 days ago. Now a very expectant Tanya, who is due October 18, was helping to host the announcement part at Amy and Malone Mitchell’s Park Cities mega-mansion along Turtle Creek.
With an $80,000 goal as the target for the December 8th tour, Katie reported that thanks to Nancy Ann and Ray Hunt, April and Mark Anthony and Barbara and Bill Perryman, they were already $30,000 toward that amount.
And that was before the tour of four fabulous home was announced to a crowd that included Leigh Anne Haugh, Heather Hicks, Elizabeth Dacus and Laura McClung.
If you’re new in the territory, NFNL has been holding the tour of mansions for the past 14 years, and this year’s crop is pretty darn incredible.
Drum roll!
The homes that will have their doors open to guests belong to Gina and Scott Ginsburg, Jan Miller and Jeff Rich, D’Andra Simmons and Anne and Steve Stodghill.
All four are totally different but have one thing in common — they’re genuine showstoppers.
In addition to having her home on the tour, Gina is also serving as honorary chair of the Holiday Home Tour.
Just think how fabulous the first weekend of December will be — Children’s Medical Center Holiday Parade on Saturday morning, Crystal Charity on Saturday night and Holiday Home Tour Sunday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m.
BTW, if you want a bargain, then get your tour tickets when they go on sale at Tom Thumb on Monday, November 4! It’s just $25 in advance. At the door it will be $30. Proceeds will benefit NFNL.
