Saturday, November 3: Don’t be fooled by the theme, “Go Big or Go Home.” It does not mean you have to be over 6-feet tall or gain weight to attend the 21st annual Zoo To Do. Rather, the Dallas Zoo‘s Giants of the Savanna and Wilds of Africa Plaza will be turned into a G-rated Sin City for guests in sequins and pinstriped suits. On the other hand, guests might just go home with expanded waistlines thanks to Honorary Chef Jim “Sevy” Severson‘s arranging for 25 of Dallas’ top chefs to be front and center with tastings on “the Strip.”
Chairs Shelly and Tom Codd, along with the Edgar A. Robinson family serving as honorary chairs, have arranged for silent and live auctions, live music and dancing to keep guests thinking they are in Vegas.
According to organizers, “What happens at Zoo To Do, stays at Zoo To Do!” Even the parrots won’t be talking.
