“If I had the MBM… I would do like my friend Pam Poyner Wood and her husband Dean … they paid off layaway items that people had at their local stores in the town where they live. What a wonderful trend … one that I hope continues..
For all of the people that are moaning and groaning about people waiting till the last minute to shop and the stores being so crowded … just remember most had to wait till their payday. I was at Ballet Camp on Thursday picking up Samantha (Editor’s note: Yvonne’ granddaughter) and two of the ladies were talking about how ridiculous it was that people waited till the last minute and they couldn’t even get to the pharmacy to get things because they were so crowded with “last-minute Christmas shoppers” … Remember everyone has different circumstances … don’t be cruel if you’re one of the lucky ones that doesn’t have to wait till payday. I would like to make it where they didn’t have to wait till then … but somehow I believe that they appreciate it so much more. This isn’t meant to be preachy but just to remind that if we have a home, food, car and our health … all is right with the world..
OK, cannot resist.. I’d underwrite all the programs of Suicide and Crisis Center of North Texas for five years at least … which does go along with the above, as some get so down and depressed about not being able to provide for their loved ones. Thanks for the opportunity to opine, yet again.”
