Jan Miller‘s palazzo was just brimming with holiday decorations and spirit for Tuesday’s A.W.A.R.E. tea. Event hostesses Mary Ann Hyde and Marion Moore had a full house for the annual event. Someone suggested that the big draw was Jan’s house that had two mammoth Christmas trees that looked like Santa himself had decorated them.
Among the crowd of guests were Bitsy Jordan, Carol Seay, Kay Hammond and Marjorie Walthall, who brought a nice little present. Actually it was a very nice big present. . . a check for $10,000 to help the March 23 luncheon’s underwriting. Thanks to Marjorie’s generosity the total now stands at $143,000!
BTW, it’s been noted that hosts and hostesses like Jan and her husband Jeff Rich, who open their homes for fundraising, have wireless microphones as handy as welcome mats. It really gets the job done when calling the group to attention. Don’t you love technology?
