MySweetCharity Photo Gallery Alert: 2025 Mad Hatter’s Tea

If there’s one event in North Texas that never disappoints in the creative department, it’s the Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum‘s Mad Hatter’s Tea. While some might suggest that only Salvador Dali could truly appreciate the talent of the guests in their attire, others hint that counseling would be most appropriate.

As soon as 2025 Chair Sara Friedman announced the theme, “Celebrate Spring In The South,” the only thing hotter than area glue guns were the creative juices of the “win-no-matter-what” types. Pity the poor first-timer who arrived at the champagne reception on Thursday, April 17, thinking her itty-bitty fascinator would score attention. Like an orchid in the Mojave Desert, her aspirations quickly wilted.

Nida Hamblin, Jeanne Lewis, Elizabeth Smith, Kunthear Mam-Douglas, Regina Bruce, Sonia Santos, Debbie Murray and Tricia Sims

Encountering the gaggle of guests in the Ginsburg Family Plaza, she was overwhelmed with sights including Nida Hamblin, Jeanne Lewis, Elizabeth Smith, Kunthear Mam-Douglas, Regina Bruce, Sonia Santos, Debbie Murray, Tricia Sims, Susan Scullin, Kathy Cothrum, Emily Maduro, Betsy Simpson, Nancy Connor, Jill Goldberg, Lisa Meyer and Sarah Jo Hardin.

And then there were the blockbuster teams decked out head to toe to “master” the greatest golf tournament in the south.

Jane Gilmore, Linda Gilmore, Evelyn Sandy, Linda Burk, Leslie Roberts, Judy Grant, Dixey Arterburn, Sera Hall, Sandy Hargrove and Angela Phillips

Adding to the competition was the notice that had been shared that the hat category judges (Esé Azénabor-Grembowski, Sharon Lee Clark, John Clutts, Amanda Shufeldt, Anne Stodghill and Kameron Westcott) were more than willing to accept “gratuities” for consideration rendered.

Just imagine how the models in NorthPark fashions on the runway managed to keep straight faces as they looked at the Maddest Hatters seated throughout Rosine Hall.
