What hasn’t Elaine Agather done? She’s risen to the heights in the world of banking during decades of change. She has had a longtime marriage to Neils Agather (40 years, to be exact). She’s been a mother and grandmother. And she has reached the zenith of fashionable fundraising in stiletto heels and boots on both sides of I-30.
Besides the Pulitzer and Nobel prizes, there’s very little left that hasn’t made it to her list of achievements … until now.
It was just revealed that in addition to being a 2011 Crystal Charity Ball Hall of Famer, she will be only the fourth woman ever to emcee the Crystal Charity Ball 10 Best Dressed Fashion Show on Thursday, September 11. And according to organizers, this will be special, since it will be the grand finale fashion show for Neiman Marcus Downtown on Thursday, September 11.
The only previous women to introduce the Best Dress honorees have been “Town and Country” then-editor Pam Fiori, then-WFAA news anchor Gloria Campos and CCB Hall of Famer Charlotte Jones.
According to 2025 CCB Chair Mary Martha Pickens, “Elaine embodies the spirit and intent of the annual Fashion Show And Luncheon. The event honors amazing women with a significant track record for enriching and empowering women and children in the community, who also happen to have a great sense of personal style.”

In addition to the 2025 Class of 10 Best Dressed (Jacquelin Sewell Atkinson, Julie Bagley, Shelby Goff, Shannon Graham, Tracey Kozmetsky, Tracy Lange, Wendy Messmann, Lisa Rocchio, Sunie Solomon and Katherine Wyker) and Hall of Famer Aileen Pratt, the occasion will be honored to have Hall of Famer philanthropist Francie Moody-Dahlberg serve as the honorary chair. In the program’s history, there have only been six honorary chairs: Margaret Hill, Annette Simmons, Nancy Dedman, Ruth Altshuler, Norma Hunt and Gene Jones.
Highlighting the runway will be a presentation of the Brunello Cucinelli Fall/Winter 2025 collection, as well as a Neiman Marcus exclusive collection, “Heirs of Craftsmanship.”
Funds raised through the event will support the CCB’s goal of $7,459,305 for the 2025 Dallas County children’s non-profit beneficiaries (Cafe Momentum, Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep, Dallas CASA, Foundation for the Callier Center for Communication Disorders, Retina Foundation of the Southwest, The Stewpot and West Dallas Community School).
