Oh, how Armstrong Boulevard was jammed with valets on Wednesday, April 23. While The Salvation Army’s Echelon committee members and friends were celebrating the organization’s 15th anniversary at Heather and Tod Furniss‘ gorgeous digs, the Turtle Creek Park Conservancy’s Day At The Races patrons were just across Turtle Creek at Amy and Corey Prestidge‘s equally outstanding home.
While Amy and Corey were out of town, the crowd including DATR Honorary Chair Nancy Carter, Angie and Dr. Kevin Kadesky, Mary Martha Pickens, Kimber Hartmann, Lisa Cooley, Christie Carter, Pam Busbee, Emilynn Wilson, Tammy Duclow, David Davis and Michael Faircloth toasted DATR event co-chairs Shannon Graham and Beth Layton with icy glasses of mint juleps for the sold-out status.

In a matter of speaking it was a double celebration. In addition to the Saturday, May 3, fundraiser’s winning status, Underwriting Co-Chairs Katie and Allan Oster were celebrating their first wedding anniversary.

More news of the evening included Gracie Dix‘s newest publication — “Beyond Superhero School: Let The Games Begin” — that would be available for purchase on Friday, April 25.
It will be the third edition in Gracie’s “The Vork Chronicles” series that launched in 2020 with “Journey to Superhero School: An Oliver and Jessica Prequel to The Vork Chronicles,” followed by “Welcome To Superhero School.”
