JUST IN: TWU – Dallas Campus Celebrates $750K In Grants From Its Leadership Council

While only in her new role as Texas Woman’s University – Dallas Campus president for less than a year, Monica Christopher and her team have been building awareness and funds for their programs. She has just announced $750,000 in grants to the Dallas President’s Leadership Council.

The grants include the following:

  • $250,000 from The Meadows Foundation to pilot TWU Ventures, a series of non-credit up-skilling courses designed to meet local workforce needs.
  • $250,000 from Communities Foundation of Texas’ W.W. Caruth Jr. Fund to support the TWU Dallas strategic planning process.
  • $100,000 from the Hillcrest Foundation to purchase equipment for the nursing simulation lab.
  • $100,000 from the Hoblitzelle Foundation to enable the physical expansion of the Mike A. Myers Stroke Center.
  • $40,000 from the Texas Women’s Foundation to bring the Institute for Women’s Health to the TWU Dallas campus, with a focus on perimenopause.
  • $10,000 from the Katherine C. Carmody Charitable Trust to create an emergency assistance fund for TWU Dallas students.
