How about a free family outing that doesn’t require packing bags, spending hours in cars driving to faraway places or even putting the pets in kennels? It will take place this Saturday (aka the last day of May) from 9 to 11 a.m. at Turtle Creek Park.
It’s the Turtle Creek Park Clean-Up And Planting Day.

They’re looking for 100 people of all ages to sign up here and arrive in the Arlington Hall circular driveway for a morning of helping Mother Nature look her finest.
As for the attire, please leave the bowties, satin finery and stilettos at home. Rather, the accessories of the day will be sunglasses, sunscreen and sun hats. An added touch might be gardening gloves to protect those lacquered nails.
On hand will be TCP Park Operations Director Chris Filomio, who is an old hand at making gardens spectacular.
