When you tumble out of bed tomorrow (i.e., Saturday) morning, you might want to head over to Plaza of the Americas in downtown Dallas. There shouldn’t be the usual weekday morning traffic, but there will be a sight to behold.
It will be CARE-Dallas‘ Over The Edge fundraiser, with more than 30 people rappelling down the Plaza’s 25 stories from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This afternoon a trial run … or, rather, fall … was held, featuring several brave locals including Interim CARE-Dallas Executive Director Jan Osborn, Peggy Bessellieu, JT Springer, Michael Molthan and Li McGuire. All achieved success without a scratch.
But just in case, a Dallas ambulance was parked across the street.
Shown doing a “trial rappel” in the video above were Over the Edge safety-crew members Kim and Dalton Ray, from Austin.
If you want a front-row seat for Saturday’s drop at the corner of North Pearl and Bryan streets, park your vehicle in the parking lot adjacent to Cancer Survivor Plaza, directly in front of the Marriott Hotel.
