One North Texas non-profit sector that has been challenged in recovering from the pandemic is the arts. To bolster financial support for both performing and visual arts groups, Communities Foundation Of Texas is celebrating April’s Dallas Arts Month with a “fundraising campaign through the NorthTexasGivingDay.org platform.”
Thanks to a $100,000 match supported by The Giana Foundation Fund, the Robert B. and Virginia Payne Fund for Arts And Culture and CFT, North Texas Gives To The Arts will take place from Thursday, April 17 to Wednesday, April 30.

As The Giana Foundation Fund’s Frank Maio explained, “The arts are the heartbeat of our community, enriching lives, sparking creativity, and strengthening our local economy. We recognize that investing in arts nonprofits means investing in the cultural fabric that makes North Texas so vibrant. We’re proud to provide a giving incentive to support local arts organizations. Contributions can go further, empowering artists, expanding access, and ensuring that creativity thrives. Together, we are building a more inspired North Texas — one brushstroke, note, and performance at a time.”
Limited to online gifts, with 100% of each donation made on NorthTexasGivingDa.org going to the non-profit, the plan stipulates that “the first $500 per donor per organization will be matched until the $100K match has been met.”
It will be a great opportunity to “explore and give to one or more of 400 participating arts organizations” in eight different categories including History And Heritage, Arts Advocacy And Support, Dance, Visual Arts, Media And Film, Music, Literary Arts, Theater and Multidisciplinary Arts.
According to CFT President/CEO Wayne White, “Local arts and humanities non-profits foster unity, belonging, community and creativity. As we work to grow giving across our region, Communities Foundation Of Texas is thrilled to provide a one-stop-shop platform to make it easy for people to give to causes they care about year-round.”
