While the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League‘s 2025 debutantes were practicing their Texas dips for the annual presentation ball on Saturday, February 15, the 2025 Junior Symphony Ball (JSB) committee of 1,000 had a heck of a lot more fun at Gilley’s Dallas on Saturday, February 1. With nearly 3,000 area high schoolers attending, they showed their stuff by breaking all previous JSB records.

The 2025 JSB Co-Chairs (Jesuit College Prep of Dallas’ Tanner Krug, Highland Park High School’s Gracelyn Nix and Jack Steed, Episcopal School of Dallas’ Clara Tolleson and Johnny Willingham, Bishop Lynch High School’s Emerson Mayes, St. Mark’s School of Texas’ Teddy Fleiss, Ursuline Academy’s Avery Black, Parish Episcopal School’s Zack Shapiro and The Hockaday School’s Kate Davidson) gathered together at the Meyerson to present a whopping $580,500 check for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s music education programs.

Okay, they’ve set the bar for the 2026 JSB-er and plans are already in the works for what the future holds for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League’s longest-running fundraiser.
