One might say that Tuesday, March 4, was payday for eight Dallas County children’s non-profits. Taking place in Highland Park Village’s Mockingbird Room, The 2024 Crystal Charity Ball committee convened to present the beneficiaries of the year-long fundraising of $7M+.
Underwritten by Truist, the check presentations were made by 2024 CCB Chair Cheryl Joyner, Underwriting Chair Jennifer Dix and Foundations Chair Candace Winslow to the following:
- Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum President/CEO Mary Pat Higgins accepted $708,750 for its student museum experience fund
- HHM Health President/CEO Brian Hawkins accepted $1,099,045 for its mobile pediatric clinic



- Methodist Health System Foundation President Jim Johnston accepted $1,099,045 for its obstetrics emergency department (OB-ED)
- Parkland Health Foundation President/CEO Michael Horne accepted $1,000,000 for its Crystal Charity Ball Pediatric Health Clinic

- The Center for Integrative Counseling And Psychology President/CEO Dr. Brad Schwall accepted $1,029,051 for its mental health education and counseling program for youth in South and West Dallas
- Traffick911 Executive Director Lindsey Speed accepted $607,912 for freeing youth from sex trafficking through Trust-Based Relationships
- Vogel Alcove President/CEO Karen Hughes accepted $1,500,000 for its Moving Children Crisis To Thriving Childcare at RedBird in South Dallas and




- Crystal Charity Ball’s 70th Anniversary Project “Action Before Crisis” Children’s Medical Center Foundation President Brent Christopher accepted $2,000,000 for mental health collaboration.
