For those who have headed to the beach, NYC or Europe for spring break, there just might be something waiting in your mailbox when you return.
Last Friday, 2025 Equest Women’s Auxiliary President Felicia Powell, 2025 Equest Women’s Auxiliary Luncheon And Fashion Show Co-Chairs Lisa Singleton and Victoria Snee and Underwriting Chair Lora Farris hunkered down at Highland Park Village’s headquarters to sign letters for the upcoming fundraiser on Tuesday, October 7, at Brook Hollow Golf Club.

In addition to having HPV First Ladies Elisa Summers and Heather Washburne serving as this year’s honorary luncheon co-chairs, philanthropist Claire Emanuelson will receive the 2025 Community Service Award.

And on the runway will be fall fashions provided by the merchants of Presenting Sponsor Highland Park Village that will be announced in the weeks to come.
HPV Chief Marketing Officer Victoria should host more letter signings if they’re anything like this one. In addition to having luncheon ordered in to keep the pens scribbling, Victoria had organized the order in which the letters would be signed.
But the highlight of the day was the the food for thought ranging from the mysterious deaths of the Gene Hackmans in Santa Fe, the TV whodunit series “Paradise,” who had the oldest cellphone (Lisa won that one hands-down), spring break destinations, the very comfy chairs at the table and the Powells’ five year-old Bernedoodle, Howie.
Thanks to the camaraderie and Victoria’s system, the letters were mailed this past Monday. If yours hasn’t arrived, don’t dawdle around waiting. Seating for this traditional sell-out is limited. In addition to underwriting opportunities, tickets and tables are available here.
Funds raised through the luncheon will support Equest’s “equine therapy for autism, veterans and other diverse needs.”
