This weekend is just made for editing your closet. Starting Saturday the nice, spring weather will be coming to an end, with Sunday flirting with a high of 51 degrees.
While removing last season’s trends to make way for your 2025 outfits, don’t hesitate to include your evening gowns in the closet sweep. And what about that teenage daughter who’s off to college? Surely that prom dress is just taking up hangar space in her closet.
But before you think of taking the evening looks to a resale shop, consider Comerica Bank North Texas’ 10th Annual Prom Dress Drive.

Since the program got underway back in 2015, more than 6,600 dresses, including last year’s 380, have been provided free-of-charge to Dallas CASA and Boys And Girls Clubs Of Collin And Greater Dallas counties.
To celebrate the program’s 10th anniversary, two new locations have been added, in East Dallas and Frisco.
Another plus this year is Project Beauty, which is partnering up to collect dresses and donate beauty swag bags. For one lucky teenager from each of the benefiting non-profits, Project Beauty will provide a complimentary prom night makeover (full hair and makeup).
According to Comerica Bank Senior VP/Community Development Banking Director Beatrice Kelly, “For nearly a decade, we have partnered with our colleagues, customers and the community to send thousands of teens to the prom, including more than 200 students last year. As the chair of the Comerica North Texas Women’s Forum, being a force for good while empowering young women in our community is at the core of our mission. We hope to serve a record number of teens through this year’s drive in honor of our 10th anniversary.”
New and gently worn, cleaned formal dresses of all sizes, as well as accessories like shoes, purses and jewelry, can be dropped off at the following Comerica Banking Centers:
