KidneyTexas Inc.’s 2025 board officers/executive board has been announced.
In addition to President Mari Epperson leading the organization that supports “the methods of treatment, the search for a cure and prevention of kidney diseases and other kindred or contributory diseases,” the following folks will serve as officers: President-Elect Fran Wittenberg; 1st VP Membership: Giana dePaul and Joanie Stephens; 2nd VP Luncheon Allison Brodnax; 3rd VP Charity Selection Colby Baer and Gail Vesledahl; Recording Secretary Barbara Dianis; Corresponding Secretary Nancy Dennis; Treasurer Cindy Hanson; Treasurer-Elect Stacey Wiggins; Historian/Social Media: Claire Catrino and Lauran Grant and Parliamentarian Monica Cooley.
Making up the committee chairs are the following: Advisory Board Chair Donna Arp Weitzman, Bylaws Natalie Taylor, Camp Reynal Liaison McKamy Looney, Check Presentation Chair Sharon Ballew, Fall Tea Chair Lori Routh, Finance Chair Stacey Wiggins, Kidney Kids Christmas Party Chair Susan Fisk, Newsletter/Directory Chair Sandy Secor and Spring Tea Chair Jolie Humphrey.
This year’s members-at-large are Sharon Ballew, Barbara Bigham, Carole Ann Brown, Jolie Humphrey, Ramona Jones, Natalie Taylor, Patty Jo Turner and Emilynn Wilson.
Unfortunately, there are more than 88K people on the national kidney transplant list, with 8,284 currently on the Texas kidney wait list.
Expect news about the annual fundraising luncheon and don’t be surprised if the location is not the usual place.
