While everything seems to be adjusting schedules due to Winter Storm Cora, the often forgotten Dallas Department of Sanitation Services has just issued a notice that its Thursday routes aren’t going to happen today and just maybe not tomorrow. Here’s the official word:
Due to deteriorating neighborhood street and alley conditions, all Thursday collection routes have been suspended as of 11 a.m. Customers are advised to leave their carts at the collection point. Sanitation will attempt to collect these carts on Friday or Saturday as conditions allow.
Friday route customers may place their carts at the collection point, but please note that collection may be significantly delayed or postponed this week.
Be patient. These folks have a dirty job and get very little credit for their efforts.
