Blow off the cold weather and start focusing on the spring, with the blooms dazzling gardens and silk dresses and cotton shorts showing off toned and tanned legs. A perfect opportunity will be the Turtle Creek Park Conservancy‘s 2025 Easter In The Park event. This year’s “eggstravaganza” will of course have the mad scramble for the thousands of candy-filled eggs, food trucks, and selfies with celebrities like the Easter Bunny. But there will also be the legendary Pooch Parade taking a walk about Turtle Creek Boulevard to the cheers of the crowds. The 50+-years-old tradition will have Susan and John Farris, their daughters (Lora Farris and Virginia and husband Matt Olson) and John Farris Jr., plus granddaughters Annie Olson, Avery Olson and Elle Olson, as the grand marshals.

According to TCPC President/CEO Tiffany Divis, “The Farris family has a long history of supporting family-oriented causes including Children’s Medical Center, The Family Place, Faith Presbyterian Hospice and the Crystal Charity Ball. Their family is a natural choice to represent Turtle Creek Park Conservancy’s goal of making Turtle Creek Park a place for families of all types to gather and experience nature in the heart of the city.”
Stay tuned for more announcements in the weeks to come, including the names of the honorary co-chairs.
