Grant Halliburton Foundation has bravely brought to light the reality of young people dealing with devastating decisions. Still the Foundation has soldiered on to support the youngsters and their families and friends working through the issues.

To shine a light on how even sports greats have not just dealt with mental health challenges, but have risen above them to help others, the Foundation’s Beacon Of Hope Co-Chairs Chris and Brent Bolding and Vice-Chairs Amy and Michael Roseman have arranged to have former Major League Baseball player/former Texas Ranger Drew Robinson as the keynote speaker for the fundraising luncheon on Tuesday, March 25, at the Omni Dallas Hotel.

Drew’s is the miraculous story of surviving a suicide attempt in 2020, after playing 12 seasons of professional baseball. Emerging from his suicide attempt in which he lost his right eye and senses of smell and taste, Drew became a full-time role model as a mental health advocate — the first of its kind in the MLB.
With a tagline of “Strength Isn’t Always Physical®,” Drew will showcase his journey at the fundraiser while promoting mental healthcare.
According to Drew, “While it’s not easy to share my story, I hope to empower those struggling to speak up, ask for support and remind them that they are not alone. I’m thankful for Grant Halliburton Foundation’s critical work and honored to support such an important cause.”

Joining Drew on stage will be voice of the Texas Rangers/mental health advocate Eric Nadel.
While individual tickets won’t go on sale until next month, sponsorships underwriting opportunities ranging from $600 to $25,000 can be had here.
