While North Texans are grateful not to be in Cincinnati and other parts of the Midwest facing Winter Storm Blair, the young crowd is preparing for a swift sellout for the 2025 Junior Symphony Ball.
2025 JSB Co-Chairs Emerson Mayes of Bishop Lynch, Clara Tolleson and Johnny Willingham of Episcopal School of Dallas, Gracelyn Nix and Jack Steed of Highland Park, Kate Davidson of Hockaday, Tanner Krug of Jesuit College Prep of Dallas, Zach Shapiro of Parish School, Teddy Fleiss of St. Mark’s School of Texas and Avery Black of Ursuline School of Dallas have revealed that the general admission tickets will go on sale this Wednesday (aka January 8) at 10 a.m. here.
The annual “Party With A Purpose” open for area high school sophomores, juniors and seniors will return to Gilley’s Dallas with 13lackBeard (aka Brandon Williams) as the official DJ on Saturday, February 1.
General admission tickets will be going for $175 with proceeds benefiting the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s outreach programs such as the Young Strings and the Young Musicians programs.
In addition to dancing, professionally staffed gaming tables, raffles, prizes and non-alcoholic refreshments, the evening will provide an opportunity for more than 2,000 high schoolers, including the members of the steering committee from 35 schools, to get acquainted.
