From incoming and outgoing trustees to a change of board leadership, Communities Foundation of Texas has started the newest year with a lot of activity. Joining the board of trustees are Peter Brodsky, Jill Louis and Christopher “Chris” Reynolds.

According to CFT President/CEO Wayne White, “It’s an honor to welcome Peter, Jill and Chris to CFT’s board of trustees. They bring a wealth of knowledge as leaders in the sectors of legal counsel, social innovation, business development and more. Peter, Jill and Chris are longtime community advocates with a passion for volunteerism and service, and our work will benefit from their expertise.”
Outgoing trustees are Greg Campbell, who served from 2020-2024, and Alfreda Norman, who served from 2015-2024.
And speaking of outgoing, Richie Butler, who has served as board chair for a two-year term, has turned over the chairmanship to Connie Blass O’Neill, who previously held the office of vice chair.
As Richie continues as a board trustee, Matrice Ellis-Kirk is succeeding Connie as vice chair.

Since its founding in 1953, CFT has awarded more than $2.6B in cumulative grants to non-profits. Thanks to “the community’s generosity coupled with CFT’s excellent investment returns, the Foundation’s assets were reported in November to be $1.7B, a 13% increase since last year.”
