While the weather was still user-friendly last week, 2025 Callier Cares Luncheon Chair Brooke Shelby had tables filled at Crestpark’s community room. The occasion was once again hosted by Pam Busbee and her traveling companion/Honorary Callier Care pooch Rosie.


As Foundation for the Callier Center President Anne McPherson, 2025 Callier Cares Luncheon Honorary Co-Chair Tricia George, Megan Steinbach, Patti Flowers, Laura Downing and Stacey Walker personalized letters to supporters, Callier Center for Communication Disorders Executive Director Angela Shoup told how she had recently heard a discussion by a former Callier Summer Camper had been inspirational for youngsters dealing with communication disorders.

But back to the letters that will be in mailboxes this week. If you can’t wait for yours, it tells how the event will take place at “a local country club” on Monday, April 7, with Kenn George as honorary co-chair with Tricia.
This year’s Ruth and Ken Altshuler Callier Care Award will honor the Rupe Foundation’s family members David Dennard, Gretchen Chrane and Caroline Harris “for their compassionate and dedicate legacy of support.” In addition to generation of the family serving as Callier trustees and supported, “the family foundation has place a significant role in funding initiatives for pediatric care, particularly through the Paula R. Dennard Opportunity Fund for Pediatric Autism Care, established in their mother’s honor.”
Individual tickets are going for $350-$1,000 with sponsorships ranging from $5,000-$50,000.
