According to The Loop Dallas Board Of Directors Chair Jeff Ellerman,
“All we want for Christmas is the last two miles!
“This holiday season let’s complete the final stretch of The Loop Dallas—a game-changing trail system that is connecting Dallas to Dallas like never before. With your support, we can finish the last two miles of this transformative project that connects 39 miles of existing trails with 11 miles of new trails to create a 50-mile loop around Dallas.
“Why It Matters: Today, too many Dallas neighborhoods are missing critical connections between communities because of physical, political, and financial barriers. They lack access to greenspace and public transit and aren’t benefiting from the economic growth and investment experienced by others. The Loop Dallas is an economic-development and health-improvement engine, it’s an opportunity to bridge communities . . . it’s building a better Dallas. As our city grows, investing in this state-of-the-art, active transportation system is essential for creating a walkable and bikeable future for all.
“Your Impact: We’re just over halfway to our $15 million goal—and every dollar makes a difference. With $10 million in private donations, we’ve leveraged over $80 million in public funding, making this a monumental, shared public asset for our city. Together, we will make the completion of The Loop Dallas a reality.
“During this holiday season, I ask that you give the gift of community. Help us complete the last two miles of The Loop Dallas and create a lasting legacy of connectedness for generations to come, by building a future where everyone can enjoy the beauty of our city.
