According to 2025 Callier Cares Luncheon Chair Brooke Shelby, “The 2025 Callier Cares Luncheon, the Callier Center for Communication Disorders’ signature fundraising event, will be Monday, April 7, at a local country club. I am honored to serve as chair of the 2025 luncheon and follow in the footsteps of the dedicated leaders who have created such an important fund-raising event.

“At the 2025 event, the Ruth and Ken Altshuler Award will be presented to The Rupe Foundation: David Dennard, Gretchen Chrane and Caroline Harris. “We are delighted that long time Callier advocates Tricia and Kenn George will serve as the luncheon’s honorary co-chairs. Our featured speaker and Host Committee will be announced in January. “To date, the Callier Cares Luncheon has raised nearly $2.9 million which has transformed the lives of countless children and adults with communication disorders. We are deeply grateful for the philanthropic leadership of our foundation trustees and the luncheon chairmen over the past 13 years. Proceeds Will Benefit Patients in Need through the Callier Care Fund. “Ruth and Ken Altshuler created the Callier Care Fund to ensure that children and adults would have access to essential care regardless of their income level or insurance coverage. Because of the Altshulers’ benevolence, these patients have the opportunity to overcome speech, language and hearing disorders, so that they may hear, speak and connect with the world.

“My wish is that the community will embrace our cause and help raise critically needed funds to ensure that children and adults with speech, language and hearing disorders receive access to care. Your support will make a difference in the lives of those who otherwise would be unable to connect with the world around them. “Please visit www.calliercenter.org, or contact Holly Rio at 972.883.3634, for more information to learn about the resources through the Callier Care Fund to benefit children and adults who otherwise could not afford clinical care to overcome speech, language and hearing disorders.”
