Despite the holiday weekend’s hibernation, the North Texas fundraisers are definitely not asleep at the wheel. One example is the After-School All-Stars North Texas that has just checked in with legendary Dallas Cowboy Super Bowl quarterback/ESPN Monday Night Analyst/Philanthropist Troy Aikman as the featured speaker to fireside chat about sports and stuff with WFAA Lead Sports Anchor Joe Trahan for its 2025 Rising Stars Luncheon.
Putting this gang buster together recapping the football season on Tuesday, April 29, at Brook Hollow Golf Club are Co-Chairs Catherine Jaynes and Katherine Wyker with Lisa Cooley taking a curtsy as the Champion Awardee.
According to Catherine and Katherine, “Our work would not exist without the power of the philanthropic community behind us, and there is no force greater than our earliest of supporters, Lisa Cooley. Her legacy of giving in Dallas uplifts many critical causes across numerous organizations, including ours. Lisa was an early champion of ASAS, hosting our very first event in her home, and then guiding the Rising Stars Luncheon into the cornerstone event it has become. Her impact has enabled ASAS to grow from our humble beginnings to now serving over 1,000 middle schoolers today.”
