On the eve of the 2024 Crystal Charity Ball, the Hilton Anatole Dallas was alive with activities tonight. From its Ferris wheel challenging the downtown Dallas skyline for the “Wow! Of The Night” for traffic along Stemmons and all types of arrivals for Major League Baseball’s Winter Meetings, it appeared that a gals’ pajama party was underway upstairs that may have not registered on the radar.
In the former suite where Anatole’s late first lady Margaret Crow used to settle in when she had a shop on the ground floor, the 2024 CCB committee took a break from their putting together Saturday’s shimmering fundraising gala to enjoy the past year.
While 2024 CCB Chair Cheryl Joyner‘s voice may have been MIA, her leadership team was front and center with a twinkle in the eye to celebrate her year of fun and games.
One person upon arriving and spying the team asked, “I thought it was casual, but, this casual?”
Over on the dining room table, Kim Hext had fashionably created everything from taxi cab plates for New York kind of styles cookies and snowflake cupcakes poised on skyscrapers.
When someone asked if Cheryl’s family was in attendance, they were directed to “the tallest people in the room … except one,” who happened to be Cheryl’s mum.
BTW, New York only wishes that it was as glimmering as the ballroom downstairs, with walls covered with icy blue and the aroma of flowery delights. The look is ideal for those photo opps especially for the black tie and gowned set.
