After what seems like ages, the big day is finally here. Tuesday is election day for local, statewide and national candidates all vying for votes.
With candidates throwing an assortment of zingers at each other for months, voters have been besieged with all types of information. There has been no escaping all the fodder. Email- and mail-boxes have been flooded with correspondence. The news media from local to 24-hour cable programs have been non-stop in sharing the latest tidbit. Social media has been a whirlpool of all types of “stuff.”
While experts claim that this election is of an historic nature, the vast majority of people are just looking forward to it being over.
But it isn’t yet.

If you haven’t already voted, the last chance to participate in this country’s age-old system of selecting leaders starts at 7 a.m. Tuesday, concluding at 7 p.m. Then it’s settle back and see how it all works out. But even so, the sun will still rise in the east, bills will still will still need to be paid and kids will still have to head to class.
