According to Shakespeare Dallas’ Interim Executive And Artistic Director Jenni Stewart,

“As the summer sun sets over North Texas, a different kind of star lights up the night sky—the spirit of giving! Every year, Communities Foundation of Texas’ North Texas Giving Day transforms our community, and for Shakespeare Dallas, it’s nothing short of a dream.

“North Texas Giving Day is a community-wide fundraising event that amplifies the impact of donations through matching funds and bonus prizes. For Shakespeare Dallas, this day is pivotal. It’s when we see our supporters come together to fuel our mission of making Shakespeare accessible to all. Participating in North Texas Giving Day allows us to tap into a stronger fundraising network. The funds we raise support accessible Shakespeare in the Park, integrated school programs, and adult enrichment.

“A Midsummer Night’s Dream in the Park

“Picture this: a warm evening, a blanket under the stars, and the magic of Shakespeare unfolding before your eyes. Thanks to the generosity of our community, Shakespeare in the Park continues to be a beloved tradition. The money raised on North Texas Giving Day helps us keep these performances free or low-cost, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, can experience the Bard’s timeless tales. As Shakespeare himself wrote, “All the world’s a stage,” and with your support, we can ensure that our stage is open to all.

“Education: To Be or Not to Be? Definitely to Be!

“Shakespeare Dallas isn’t just about performances; we’re deeply committed to education. Our integrated school programs bring Shakespeare to life for thousands of students across North Texas. These programs foster a love of literature, boost confidence, and enhance critical thinking skills.

“Our school programs are vital. They introduce students to Shakespeare’s works in a fun and engaging way. The funds from North Texas Giving Day help us expand these programs and reach even more young minds.

“Enriching Lives, One Sonnet at a Time

“Our adult enrichment programs offer something for everyone, from seasoned Shakespeare enthusiasts to those discovering his genius for the first time. Whether it’s through acting workshops, lectures, or community readings, we aim to create a lifelong connection to Shakespeare’s works. As Shakespeare wisely said, ‘The course of true love never did run smooth.’ With your help on North Texas Giving Day, we can navigate these challenges and continue to offer enriching programs that bring joy and inspiration to adults in our community.

“This North Texas Giving Day, we invite you to be part of our story. Your support is the fuel that powers our mission and keeps the magic of Shakespeare alive in North Texas. Together, we can create a stronger, more vibrant community where the arts flourish. So, mark your calendars and get ready to make a difference. In the words of the Bard, ‘We know what we are, but know not what we may be.’ With your generosity, there’s no limit to what Shakespeare Dallas can achieve. Join us on North Texas Giving Day and help us keep the magic of Shakespeare alive for generations to come!”
