According to Community Partners of Dallas Development and Communications Vice President Samantha Eppler,
“Do you remember the joy of picking out your new school supplies? At Community Partners of Dallas, our kids are not approaching the start of school with the same excitement and support. Many will go back to school wishing for a new backpack or uniform. However, with the community’s support, our 31th Annual Back to School Drive will ensure that the abused and neglected kids we serve are ready to start the school year on equal footing with their peers.
“This year, we have a goal of serving more than 2,000 children through the Back to School Drive. Each child will receive a backpack filled with age-appropriate school supplies and two sets of school uniforms. Through individual donations and organized school supply drives from our generous community, we know we can meet our goal!
“CPD offers three avenues to contribute to our Back to School Drive:
- Organize a supply drive. Office or department drives are a great way to get teams and colleagues involved. Host a drive with any group of friends, whether it’s a book club, professional association, Sunday School class, soccer team or scout troop. Check out our list of most-needed supplies online.
- Donate supplies directly to CPD. Deliver donations directly to CPD’s Elmbrook facility through Saturday, August 31. For monetary donations online, CPD will shop on your behalf. Because of CPD’s bulk purchasing power, every $1 donated is equal to $6 worth of school supplies
- Hold a Virtual Drive. Get involved from anywhere. Allow CPD to create a custom link so that your company or group can participate collectively and raise money through a virtual drive. All physical donations will be accepted through Thursday, August 29, 2024, and can be delivered to Community Partners of Dallas’ offices, 7950 Elmbrook Drive, Dallas, Texas 75247. For a list of our most-needed supplies visit our website, or contact Ashley Davis, [email protected].
“Thank you for supporting our kids as they start the new school year!”
