According to Family Gateway Board Chair Michelle Frymire,
“The inaugural Denim and Diamonds Gala, benefiting Family Gateway, will be Thursday, November 14, at Gilley’s Dallas. The evening’s purpose is two-fold: raising critically needed funds for the children and families affected by homelessness who find stability, safety and hope every day at Family Gateway, and, honoring two great Dallas leaders for their behind-the-scenes work to help transform the homeless response system and their commitment to Family Gateway.
“We are pleased to announce that Joel T. Williams III and Charles O’Connell will receive the Annette G. Strauss Community Service Award at our inaugural event. In addition to celebrating their commitment to Family Gateway, we will enjoy an evening of great music and camaraderie with Neal McCoy providing the entertainment.

“Neal has released 15 studio albums and thirty-four singles to country radio. Back-to-back Entertainer of the Year, he boasts three platinum-certified albums and a gold album. He is also a recipient of multiple humanitarian awards from The Academy of Country Music, The Country Radio Broadcasters and The Masonic Grand Lodge.
“We invite you to join us for this special evening honoring two great civic leaders while helping Family Gateway’s mission to empower children and families affected by homelessness. Please visit familygateway.org/denim.diamonds-2.”
