According to Equest volunteer Margaret Wolf,
“When my son Ryan Wolf was born with a cognitive delay, my husband and I decided to try any therapy, any doctor’s suggestion, any plan to improve his life. When we discovered Equest – Ryan was six. He has been a client for over 25 years. The transformative impact of the horses has made huge difference in his life. He has grown up with other clients and considers Equest an extension of his family. We want families in our area to discover the life changing benefits of Equest, too. We also want veterans to come…did you know that veterans receive all services at Equest for no cost?
“Equest Fall Fair and Open House invites their clients and families, and families of the Pleasant Grove and Southern Dallas area who have a member with a disability, as well as area veterans, to join us on Sunday, November 10, 1-3:30 p.m. to connect, celebrate, support and learn. A day of adaptive games, interactive experiences with therapy horses, door prizes, snacks, beverages, and information from other area service providers will make it a fun and informative day for attendees. We also want veterans to come…did you know that veterans receive all program services at Equest for no cost? Here are all the event details: Equest Fall Fun Fair & Open House – Equest.
“Event Co-Chairs Angela Escamilla and Alyssa Rasmussen are seeking gift cards (Walmart, Costco, Sams, Amazon or restaurants), prizes, as well as cases of water, soft drinks, and snacks for attendees. We are also seeking businesses to sponsor the event. Please sign up at the event link: Equest Fall Fun Fair & Open House – Equest.”
