Highland Park Village just oozes with big buck spending for couture creations, works of art accessories and fabulous jewelry. But last night more than $408,000 was scored there, but nary a retailer received a cent. Rather the recipients were the 18 non-profits that benefited from the 2023-2024 La Fiesta De Las Seis Banderas.


With beaming smiles and looks of relief, La Fiesta De Las Seis Banderas President Kim Quinn and La Fiesta Co-Chairs Kay Herring and Courtney Wiles were joined by Check Presentation Co-Chairs Katherine Lewis and Caroline Williams, Duchess mom Mandy Davenport and escort moms Heather Basso and Melinda Woodward in distributing $408,445 in gifts to the following groups in HPV’s Mockingbird Room:

- Highland Park Education Foundation – $128,500
- Highland Park Arts – $85,000
- Highland Park Litfest – $25,000
- Friends of Highland Park Library – $3,700
- Connecting Point Park Cities – $24,070
- Boys And Girls Club Of Dallas – $6,000
- Highland Park High School Student Council – $16,500
- Highland Park High School Science And Tech Festival – $21,000
- CARE Dallas – $13,775
- The Center For Integrative Counseling And Psychology – $14,900
- Moody Family YMCA/Rise School – $10,000
- Dallas Heritage Village – $10,000
- Highland Park High School Community Service Council – $2,000
- Highland Park High School Emergency Fund – $5,000
- Friends Of University Park Library – $20,000
