Sometimes it pays to be the only fella at a ladies luncheon and that proved very true Wednesday at Park House. The gathering was for past presidents of the Women’s Auxiliary of Children Medical Center Foundation Dallas. As for the lone gent, it was the Foundation President Brent Christopher.

Over the past six decades the Auxiliary has grown in membership that today is more than 1,000 volunteers. As a result of their fundraising efforts, the Auxiliary has provided nearly $29M for Children’s Health, in addition to serving thousands of meals to patients, families and team members.
Its fundraising efforts have resulted in coordinating 54 Family Nights At Six Flags, 33 Breakfast With Santa Spectaculars, the Boo Yard Sign Challenges 6,000 signs and the 400 wreaths and 10 trees annually during the Christmas season.
The highlight of the luncheon was news for some that the Auxiliary had once again supported the future of children’s health by gifting $5M for the new Pediatric Hospital Campus that Children’s Health and UT Southwestern are building that was announced in February.
