With munchkins at summer camps and/or joining their parents at the shores and cooler places for summer vacations, there are still some hardworking folks toiling on their laptops and tablets to prepare for fall.

For this reason, the MySweetCharity team wants to help North Texas 501 (c)(3) non-profits prepare kids for the 2024-2025 school year with the MySweetSchoolDaze series.
There are way too many kids who start the school year without such simple things as paper and pencils. As a result, teachers have to provide for their students in need.
If you’re a newbie to the series and want some help in providing supplies for your kiddos, here is what you’ll need to provide for consideration:
- A byline article describing the drive and why it is necessary
- Author of the article and their connection with the foundation or school
- Name of the beneficiary school and/or district
- What grade classification is the target
- How many students are to benefit
- Deadline for providing support
- How people can support the project (i.e., Amazon Wish List, delivery of supplies, donations, etc.)
- What type of items are needed
- Length: Make it as long or as short as you want and provide it in a Word document. Hint: MSC readers usually prefer posts with word counts ranging from 250 to 500 words.
- Photos/graphics/logos are encouraged as long as they have IDs and are submitted in a JPEG format. Please no postage stamp-sized mugshots. Word to the wise: The better the photos, the better the readership.
Send them to [email protected] with “MSC School Daze – <Name of Non-Profit and Program>” in the subject line (Example: “MySweetSchoolDaze – Brainiacs Rule”).
Here are some examples of MySweetSchoolDaze posts in the past.
Get them in soon, because the series will end on Friday, August 16.
