According to Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer CEO Kris Cumnock,
“If you have ever been a part of a team, any kind of team, you know the satisfaction of working as a group to achieve something special. We have a team at Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer and our team works to help kids and families in the time between the cancer diagnosis and the scan that we pray comes back ‘clear.’ This is a very difficult and frightening time for everyone involved and I would like to tell you a little about the impact you can have during that time by donating and getting involved with our team at WOKC.
“Tomorrow, there will be more children and their parents who will be told of a confirmed cancer diagnosis. Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer will have a Buddy Bag packed and waiting for them. The Buddy Bag will be strategically filled with hygienic, comfort and entertainment items designed to ease the unexpected transition from home to hospital. That bag will bring joy to a child and a message of comfort and hope to the parents.

“Tomorrow, there will be more moms and dads who will be under tremendous stress because of what a pediatric cancer diagnosis does to a family. Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer will provide ‘date nights’ out so that they can re-connect with one another and bond with other parents who are also traveling a pediatric cancer journey.
“Tomorrow, there will be more kids who feel alone, angry, isolated and confused after learning of their cancer diagnosis. Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer provides a global podcast featuring kids who have beaten cancer to help justify those emotions and let them know, ‘You are not alone. You’ve got this.’
“Tomorrow, there will be more kids enduring painful cancer treatments. Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer funds cutting-edge research so that those treatments will soon be less painful, less invasive, and more effective because those studies are shining light on new options. Today, you can positively impact children and families throughout DFW by donating to and getting involved with Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer. Kids shouldn’t get cancer, but when they do…you can help.
