This morning the rain took a break just in time for a celebration. Since the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary Dallas‘ blowout fashion show and luncheon on Tuesday, May 7, 2023-2024 SAWA President Candace Winslow and Luncheon Chair Shannon Graham have been counting and recounting the results. They couldn’t believe their eyes.
With the sun shining over Highland Park Village, Candace and Shannon were joined by HPV Chief Marketing Officer Victoria Snee and 2024-2025 SAWA President Laura Downing to present a record-breaking check for $870,500 to The Salvation Army of North Texas Major Dawn McFarland.

What beautiful results from all of the intense effort that it takes to lead this luncheon. Margot Perot’s original vision has grown through several decades of dedicated SAWA leadership. She must feel such pride seeing the size of the ripple she started when she tossed this “Doing the most good with our clothes” idea into the Auxiliary. Bravo to Shannon for this record breaking year and to each of the past Chairs for their love and leadership in previous years. WOW!!
