The Callier Cares Luncheon at a “local country club” is the opportunity to recognize people who have supported and made advancements in the ability for communications.
But the 2024 Callier Center for Communication Disorders fundraiser not only saluted Dr. Rebecca Landa with the 2024 Campbell Callier Prize and the Ruth and Ken Altshuler Callier Care Award for philanthropist Sarah Losinger, it also made guests like Sharon and Mike McCullough, Patti Flowers, Lynne and Roy Sheldon, Christie Carter and Tricia George aware that Luncheon Chair Laura Downing‘s family had experienced a decrease in hearing. Then there was that youngster whose wail in the ballroom came as a relief for his parents. In both cases, the Callier Center had been instrumental in helping families.
And all of this led up to the grand finale of the Total Solar Eclipse.
