The Family Place is kicking off May with plans for its 2024 Partners Card shopathon. Word has just arrived that Elizabeth Ward Creel and Tiffany Moon are serving as the co-chairs.
They’ve already made sure that the website is up and running “for people to do a sponsorship and for retailers to sign up as well.”
According to The Family Place Interim CEO Tiffany McDaniel, “We are honored to welcome these two exceptional leaders to spearhead this year’s Partners Card fundraiser. Together, they bring a winning combination of leadership, innovation and philanthropy, which perfectly aligns with our mission to support survivors of domestic violence. Their dedication to those we serve not only underscores their commitment to our cause but also promises a significant impact on our efforts to raise critical funds for those in need.”
Returning as the presenting sponsor will be Bank of Texas for the event that will bring together North Texas shoppers with more than 750 retailers, services and restaurants from Friday, October 25, to Sunday, November 3.
Also staying in place will be the price of a Partners Card — $75. Yup, you read that right. While it might be tempting to increase that figure to a round, three-figure number, Elizabeth and Tiffany are keeping it very user-friendly.
But don’t go looking for a place to buy your card just now. They won’t be available until Sunday, September 1.
Since its inception in 1993, the Partners Card program had hauled in more than $22M to support The Family Place mission. Just last year the Partners Card provided $1.37M, which translates into “18,275 nights of shelter and safety for survivors of domestic violence.”
