While the 2024 Dallas Symphony Orchestra League debs are preserving their gowns for safekeeping, the plans are already underway for the 2025 DSOL Presentation Ball.

Assuming her new role as 2025 DSOL president in June, Dixey Arterburn said her running buddy Ginger Sager will chair the 2025 white tie and tails ball.
It was just 11 years ago that the roles were reversed with Ginger being president of DSOL and Dixey chairing the 2014 gala fundraiser.
Nicknamed as the Dallas version of “Thelma and Louise,” Ginger recalled how the tag resulted when past Presentation Producer Jan Strimple “greeted us at one meeting with, ‘It’s Thelma and Louise,’ and it stuck. At the last ball rehearsal, we wore t-shirts with ‘Thelma and Louise’ printed on them. We don’t need to wear name tags anymore.”
Among their past collaborations have been the Salvation Army Luncheon, Mardi Gras – St. Michael and All Angels Church and Beacon of Hope Luncheon.
As Dixey said, “We will have so much fun together — welcoming the new debs and their families and raising money for the DSOL. We want all the families to enjoy and remember their special year.”
They’ve already set the date for the 39th annual Presentation Ball for Saturday, February 15, at the Meyerson.
