While it may not be a grand gala or even a seated supper, the Austin Street Center‘s “9th Annual No Place Like Home” is a cocktail party with a goal to not only raise money but to spread the word about the homeless situation in North Texas.
Event Co-Chairs Peter Addy and Ross Crawford and Honorary Chair Steve Trese announced that the grazing around on Nick and Sam’s goodies will take place at Fashion Industry Gallery (FIG) on Thursday, May 2, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
And it’s not just a cocktail party, actually. It’s “a celebration with a purpose.”
According to Austin Street Center CEO Daniel Roby, “The annual event raises funds and drives awareness around the issue of homelessness and how Austin Street Center is working to bring solutions and partnerships that help the city’s most vulnerable population find a permanent place to call home. Every ticket sold and every donation made contributes to the larger narrative of compassion and action.”
In addition to munching around, guests will be able to check out a silent auction “featuring luxurious vacation homes and unique experiences.”
Ranging from $1,500 to $25,000, sponsorships are available here. Individual tickets begin at $60.
Funds raised thanks to “No Place Like Home” support Austin Street Center’s mission “to provide safe shelter and meet the basic needs of the most vulnerable homeless.”
