St. Valentine’s Day Luncheon And Fashion Show Co-Chairs Brooke Shelby and Samantha Wortley welcomed 40 sponsors and supporters to a celebration in their honor on Wednesday, January 31, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Hosted by Frame at Highland Park Village, attendees arrived and enjoyed wine and light bites from nearby Sadelle’s. With a percentage of proceeds benefiting the Leukemia And Lymphoma Society (LLS), partygoers shopped the brand’s renowned denim collection along with other new spring looks.

LLS campaign development director Stacey Russell was in attendance to share with supporters the great work that LLS has been doing for 75 years to create a blood cancer free world, including:

  • Investing more than $1.7 billion in scientific research, which has led to the development of nearly every major blood cancer research breakthrough. This sustained scientific investment has led to cures and to patients living longer, healthier lives.
  • LLS has been unstoppable in serving thousands of patient households and their families in the Red River Region…
    • Raising over $14 million in financial assistance
    • Awarding 3,840 grants (some of these financial aid awards could’ve gone to the same people/households more than once)
    • Reaching over 1,790 new households

The co-chairs also shared their gratitude throughout the evening to all sponsors in attendance, as well as this year’s award recipients.

As the evening came to a close, attendees were reminded that the silent auction featuring fabulous packages, such as a staycation at the Rosewood Mansion, a 30A beach vacation, a diamond necklace from Bachendorf’s, shopping and styling session with Billy Fong, a mahjong party, and more was online and ready for bidding, with winners announced at 5 p.m. on February 8.

2024 Saint Valentine’s Day Luncheon And Fashion Show signature sponsors include Melody and Rick Rogers, The Anderson Family, Lyda Hill Philanthropies, Highland Park Village, Sewell, Susie and Mike Barnett /Benchmark Bank, Robyn and Don Conlon, Ruth Robinson, Allie Beth Allman, Keith and Megan Conlon, Dondolo, Libby and David Hunt, the Sapphire Foundation and Nancy and Richard Rogers.
