If you held out due to holiday parties and cold weather for your youngster to make a reservation for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League‘s Junior Symphony Ball (JSB), you’re in the doghouse. The DSOL fundraiser on Saturday, January 27, at Gilley’s Dallas is sold out!
How popular is the event? JSB Co-Chairs Ela Austin, Adelaide Boisture, Kate Fagan, Ashton Krug, Cara Lichty, Cash Nix, James Sutherland, Baker Trent and Caroline Woram didn’t even have time to have printed invitations to send out.
And as every family knows, behind every successful youth program there are proud moms like the co-chairs’ mothers Suzanne Austin, Ashley Boisture, Aimee Fagan, Holly Krug, Jenny Lichty, Jonika Nix, Lauren Sutherland, Katy Trent and Dana Woram.
As a matter of fact, the event sold out an hour after they emailed about the general admission tickets!
But there are still two options to get out of that doghouse:
- Sign up for the wait list with fingers crossed. Don’t want to get your hopes too high, but word has it that there are already “several hundred names” on the list.
- Members on the Steering Committee can take advantage of the tickets starting at $395 while they’re still available.
With 2,500 high schoolers from 35 area schools, the “Purpose With A Party” will raise funds for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra with grazing and partying, courtesy of Chris Ferrara and The Common Good and Dallas Cowboys DJSC (aka 13lackbeard).
Funds raised by JBS will support the DSOL’s “outreach programs such as the Young Strings program and the Young Musicians program.”
